Can ApoB help with allergy?

Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) is a core component of LDL and other atherogenic lipoproteins, used primarily for cardiovascular risk assessment. There is no established role for ApoB in allergy diagnosis or management. Allergies are diagnosed via IgE antibodies, skin prick tests, and clinical history – not lipid markers. Some mechanistic studies suggest lipoproteins may influence immune and inflammatory pathways, but these are preliminary and not clinically actionable for allergies. Consumer tests (e.g., MyBody-X IgE test) measure sensitization, not allergy. Measuring ApoB in an allergic patient without cardiovascular concerns is not supported by evidence.
