Evidence check: AllergieCheck | IgE-Antikörper Test in the context of skin aging

The IgE antibody test (AllergieCheck) measures specific IgE levels against allergens and is primarily used for diagnosing allergies (e.g., hay fever, food allergies). A direct link to skin aging is not scientifically established. While chronic inflammation from untreated allergies could theoretically promote oxidative stress and accelerate skin aging, robust clinical studies proving a causal effect of IgE on collagen loss or glycation are lacking. The evidence is therefore rated as 'marketing' or 'unclear'. Consumers should understand that such tests do not assess skin aging. Lifestyle factors (UV protection, diet, sleep) have a much larger impact. If allergies are suspected, an IgE test is appropriate, but not for anti-aging diagnostics.
