What to watch with APOE and Allergie?

The link between APOE variants (especially ε4) and allergies is not well established. APOE is primarily associated with lipid metabolism and Alzheimer's disease risk. Some studies suggest a possible role in inflammation, but evidence for a direct connection to allergies is weak and inconsistent. A DNA test for APOE does not predict allergy risk—other genes (e.g., HLA, IL-4, FCER1A) are more relevant. Do not over-interpret your APOE result for allergy management.
