Evidence check: AllergieCheck | IgE-Antikörper Test in the context of Fruchtbarkeit

The Allergy Check (IgE antibody test) measures specific and/or total IgE levels to identify allergies. In the context of fertility, there is no robust evidence that IgE test results directly affect or predict fertility. Some studies suggest a link between allergic conditions (e.g., asthma, hay fever) and a slightly increased risk of fertility issues, but the effects are small and mechanisms unclear – possibly via chronic inflammation or histamine effects. IgE measurement alone is not an established fertility marker. Clinically relevant are hormone status, ovarian reserve, sperm quality, and organic causes. The test is useful for suspected allergies, but not as a fertility screening. Evidence level: mechanistic/weak. Caution against overinterpretation of DTC results.
