Is TSH Schilddrüse useful for Fruchtbarkeit?

TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) is a key marker of thyroid function. Thyroid disorders (hypo- or hyperthyroidism) can impair fertility by disrupting ovulation, menstrual cycles, and increasing miscarriage risk. Many guidelines suggest a TSH target below 2.5 mIU/L for women trying to conceive. The evidence is mainly observational; large RCTs are lacking. Thus, the utility for fertility is moderate. TSH testing is useful as part of a comprehensive fertility workup, but it should not be used in isolation. Note: This is a blood test, not a DNA test.
