What to watch with hsCRP and Haut?

HsCRP (high-sensitivity C-reactive protein) is a non-specific marker of systemic inflammation. Elevated levels can correlate with inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis, acne, eczema, and even skin aging. However, hsCRP is not skin-specific: stress, poor sleep, smoking, obesity, or infections also raise it. A MyBody-X test measures hsCRP in blood, but interpretation requires medical context. A normal hsCRP does not rule out skin inflammation, and an elevated level is not diagnostic for a skin disease. It is more useful when combined with other markers (e.g., blood count, liver enzymes) and clinical symptoms. Evidence: human-observational – studies show associations between CRP and skin inflammation, but effect sizes are moderate and causality unclear. Caveat: consumer tests oversimplify; hsCRP alone is insufficient for skin diagnosis. For skin concerns, consult a dermatologist.
