Can Zöliakie Test help with Langlebigkeit?

A celiac test (HLA-DQ2/DQ8) can indirectly support longevity by identifying risk for undiagnosed celiac disease. Untreated celiac leads to chronic inflammation, malabsorption, and increased risk of osteoporosis, lymphoma, and other autoimmune conditions—factors that can shorten lifespan. The test has high negative predictive value: a negative result largely rules out celiac. However, a positive result does not mean active disease; many carriers never develop symptoms. The test alone does not directly improve longevity, but as part of a diagnostic workup (including antibody tests and duodenal biopsy) it can help identify a treatable cause of malnutrition and inflammation. Without clinical suspicion or risk factors, screening solely for longevity is not evidence-based. Evidence for diagnostic utility is strong, but for direct longevity impact it is moderate and indirect.
