Evidence check: HLA-DQ2 in the context of Müdigkeit

HLA-DQ2 is a genetic marker strongly associated with celiac disease. Fatigue can be a symptom of untreated celiac disease, but it is non-specific and has many causes (e.g., iron deficiency, sleep disorders, stress). A MyBody-X DNA test can detect the HLA-DQ2 allele, but this alone neither diagnoses celiac disease nor explains fatigue. The evidence linking HLA-DQ2 to fatigue is indirect: studies show celiac patients report fatigue more often, but most HLA-DQ2 carriers never develop symptoms. The test is a lifestyle product, not medical diagnostics. Persistent fatigue should be evaluated by a physician (blood count, antibodies, possibly duodenal biopsy). Caution: self-interpretation may cause unnecessary anxiety or false reassurance. Evidence: human-moderate (observational studies, GWAS).
