What role does Stuhlprobe play in Allergie?

Stool samples currently play no established role in allergy diagnosis. Standard methods are IgE antibody tests from blood (like MyBody-X's AllergieCheck) or skin prick tests. While there is scientific evidence that the gut microbiome – which can be analyzed via stool sample – may influence allergy development and modulation (e.g., through immune system regulation), these findings come mostly from observational studies and animal models.
