was ist ein crp-wert — which blood markers matter?

CRP (C-reactive protein) is an inflammation marker produced in the liver, rising during acute or chronic inflammation. High-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) is an established independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, but its predictive value for individuals is modest. Other important blood markers for general health include: fasting glucose and HbA1c (metabolic control), LDL/HDL cholesterol and triglycerides (lipid metabolism), vitamin D, ferritin (iron status), TSH (thyroid), and liver enzymes (ALT, AST, GGT). MyBody-X tests may include some of these, but clinical interpretation is essential. An isolated elevated CRP without context is not a reliable aging predictor. Evidence: human-strong for CRP as a risk marker, but effect size is small. Caveat: acute infections or injuries can transiently raise CRP; repeated measurements are recommended.
