Can AllergieCheck | IgE-Antikörper Test help with Müdigkeit?
T
TIKKI knowledge answer
An AllergieCheck (IgE antibody test) may help with fatigue only if an allergic cause is specifically suspected – for example, if fatigue occurs alongside seasonal symptoms, skin rashes, or respiratory issues. Fatigue is a very non-specific symptom, far more commonly caused by sleep deprivation, stress, iron deficiency, hypothyroidism, or vitamin D deficiency. The test measures specific IgE antibodies against individual allergens, but a positive result does not automatically mean a clinically relevant allergy. Many people have elevated IgE without symptoms. The evidence for using IgE tests for isolated fatigue without an allergic history is weak. The German Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology (DGAKI) recommends the test only when there is a clear suspicion of allergy. Without accompanying symptoms, the test is not indicated for fatigue workup and may lead to misinterpretation and unnecessary dietary restrictions. A physician should always prioritize other causes first.
