How are AllergieCheck | IgE-Antikörper Test and allergy related?

The AllergieCheck (IgE antibody test) measures specific Immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against common allergens such as pollen, dust mites, animal dander, or foods. IgE is the key mediator of immediate-type allergic reactions (Type I). An elevated level for a specific allergen indicates sensitization, but does not necessarily mean clinical allergy – many people have IgE antibodies without symptoms. The test is a useful screening tool but not diagnostic on its own. Evidence is based on decades of clinical practice in allergology. Limitations: false positives are common; the test does not replace a physician's history or provocation tests. For food allergies, caution is needed: a positive IgE test alone does not justify dietary restrictions, as cross-reactivity and clinical relevance must be assessed. The test is available as a blood test (e.g., from a finger prick) and offered by MyBody-X. It should always be interpreted in consultation with an allergist.
