Can STI Test help with Müdigkeit?

An STI test (sexually transmitted infection test) is not designed to diagnose or treat fatigue. Fatigue has many causes: sleep deprivation, stress, nutrient deficiencies (e.g., iron, vitamin B12, vitamin D), thyroid dysfunction, or chronic diseases. Only if an STI such as HIV, syphilis, or an acute chlamydia/gonorrhea infection is present could it indirectly contribute to exhaustion – for example through fever or systemic inflammation. In such cases an STI test would be appropriate, but only if there is relevant risk behavior or symptoms. Most MyBody-X tests (DNA metabolism, nutrient deficiency, microbiome) target general vitality and longevity, not acute infections. An STI test alone will not clarify unspecific fatigue without risk factors. The evidence for using STI tests for fatigue is weak – it is more a marketing or misunderstanding. Recommendation: for persistent fatigue, first see a primary care physician and get basic labs (CBC, ferritin, vitamin D, TSH).
