Evidence check: Zöliakie Test in the context of Müdigkeit

A DNA test for celiac disease (HLA-DQ2/DQ8) can indicate genetic predisposition, but it is not a standalone diagnosis. Fatigue is a common symptom of celiac disease, but has many other causes. A positive test increases likelihood, but diagnosis requires serology (tTG-IgA) and duodenal biopsy. A negative test does not rule out non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Evidence for the genetic association is strong (human-strong), but the clinical utility of a consumer genetic test without medical follow-up is limited. Caveat: consumer tests may only cover partial HLA typing.
