MyBody-X's Fertility Check analyzes genetic and biochemical markers related to fertility. A key component is the ACE gene, whose insertion/deletion polymorphism affects enzyme activity. ACE plays a role in sperm function by cleaving GPI-anchored membrane proteins. However, the effect of a single gene is small and not diagnostic.
