Is Zöliakie Test useful for Allergie?

A celiac disease test (e.g., tTG-IgA, HLA-DQ2/DQ8) is **not** useful for diagnosing a classic allergy (type I hypersensitivity). It is specific for celiac disease, an autoimmune reaction to gluten. For suspected food allergies (e.g., wheat, milk, egg), specific IgE tests or skin prick tests are required. However, a celiac test may be relevant if symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, or fatigue suggest a gluten-related disorder. Evidence is strong (clinical guidelines), but the test is not an allergy screening tool. Caveat: A negative result does not rule out non-celiac gluten sensitivity or other intolerances.
