What to watch with CRP Entzündung and Langlebigkeit?

CRP (C-reactive protein) is a non-specific inflammation marker. Chronically low-grade elevated levels (0.3–1.0 mg/L) are associated with accelerated aging and increased risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cognitive decline. However, CRP is not a direct 'longevity marker' – evidence is mostly epidemiological, not from randomized trials. MyBody-X tests measure CRP but are not diagnostic. Single readings can be skewed by acute infections, smoking, or stress. It's more useful to track trends over weeks, combined with lifestyle factors like diet, exercise, and sleep. Anti-inflammatory interventions (Mediterranean diet, omega-3, physical activity) can lower CRP, but whether they extend lifespan is unproven. Caveat: Do not base anti-aging decisions solely on CRP. Consult a doctor for persistently high values.
