Evidence check: AMH in the context of Schlaf

AMH (Anti-Müllerian hormone) is a well-established marker of ovarian reserve used in fertility medicine. A direct link with sleep is not well-supported by evidence. A few studies suggest a possible association between sleep quality/duration and AMH levels, but results are inconsistent and effect sizes small. Mechanistically, chronic sleep deprivation might affect ovarian function via stress axes (cortisol), but specific AMH data are lacking. MyBody-X does not measure AMH in a sleep context. The evidence for a clinically relevant connection between AMH and sleep is currently insufficient. Consumers should not rely on AMH as a sleep biomarker.
