Can APOE help with fertility?

Whether the APOE gene influences fertility is not yet clearly established in science. APOE is best known for its role in Alzheimer's disease and lipid metabolism. However, there is emerging evidence from animal and molecular studies suggesting APOE may be involved in steroid hormone synthesis, oocyte maturation, and implantation.
