How are APOA2 and Fruchtbarkeit related?

The relationship between APOA2 and fertility is not well-established. APOA2 encodes apolipoprotein A-II, a component of HDL cholesterol. Some studies suggest associations with obesity and insulin resistance, which can indirectly affect fertility. However, direct evidence for a role of APOA2 variants in fertility is weak, mostly from animal models or small observational studies.
