The AllergieCheck (IgE antibody test) measures specific immunoglobulin E against food or inhalant allergens. It is validated for diagnosing immediate-type (Type I) allergies, not for gut health or food intolerances. Elevated IgE indicates sensitization, not necessarily clinical allergy – false positives are common. For gut issues like IBS, bloating, or diarrhea, IgE tests are generally not informative. Instead, consider stool tests (e.g., H. pylori, calprotectin, microbiome) or breath tests (lactose intolerance). MyBody-X tests are not diagnostic medical devices under German GenDG.
