tTG IgA (tissue transglutaminase antibody) is a specific marker for celiac disease. There is no direct causal relationship with blood glucose (Blutzucker). However, untreated celiac disease can cause intestinal damage leading to malabsorption, which may result in erratic blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia or postprandial fluctuations). Additionally, celiac disease is strongly associated with type 1 diabetes (both autoimmune conditions).
