welche blutwerte bei erschöpfung und müdigkeit — can a microbiome test help?

TIKKI knowledge answer
For exhaustion and fatigue, established blood markers include complete blood count (hemoglobin, red cells), ferritin (iron stores), vitamin B12, vitamin D, TSH (thyroid), and possibly cortisol (stress axis). A microbiome test can provide additional insight into gut health, e.g., dysbiosis or inflammatory markers. However, the scientific evidence for a direct causal link between microbiome composition and general fatigue is mostly mechanistic and not yet supported by robust clinical trials. Marketing claims that 'fatigue comes from the gut' are often exaggerated. A microbiome test does not replace medical evaluation of the above blood values. Persistent fatigue should always be investigated by a physician to rule out organic causes (anemia, hypothyroidism, vitamin deficiencies). Relying solely on microbiome analysis without concurrent blood diagnostics is insufficient for fatigue assessment.
