Is AMH useful for skin aging?

AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone) is clinically used almost exclusively as a marker of ovarian reserve in women. A direct, evidence-based link to skin aging is not established. Skin aging is primarily driven by UV exposure, lifestyle, collagen genetics (e.g., COL1A1 rs1800012), and oxidative stress (e.g., GPX1, NRF2). Some mechanistic studies suggest a possible role of AMH in skin regeneration, but data are sparse and not replicated. Therefore, AMH is not useful for assessing skin aging. Consumers should focus on validated biomarkers and lifestyle factors.
