What can the IgG Unverträglichkeitstest tell you — and what not?

The IgG food intolerance test measures IgG antibody levels against specific foods. What it can tell you: It indicates past or repeated exposure to certain foods, as IgG antibodies are produced after contact. What it cannot tell you: It cannot diagnose food allergies (IgE-mediated), celiac disease, or true intolerances like lactose intolerance. The scientific evidence supporting the clinical utility of IgG testing for food intolerances is weak. Major medical organizations advise against using these tests because they often lead to unnecessary dietary restrictions and anxiety. A positive IgG result does not mean you are intolerant or should avoid that food. The test is not a diagnostic tool and should not replace medical advice.
