Is Longevity DNA Test useful for Müdigkeit?

A Longevity DNA test (e.g., from MyBody-X) is not a diagnostic tool for fatigue. Such tests analyze genetic variants linked to aging, metabolism, or circadian rhythm (e.g., rs3789327 in ARNTL), but effect sizes are small and evidence is mostly from GWAS or observational studies – not clinical diagnostics. Fatigue has many causes: iron deficiency, thyroid issues, sleep disorders, stress, or infections. A DNA test cannot replace standard medical workup. The German Society of Human Genetics and GenDG advise against using such tests for medical questions. A more useful approach is a doctor’s visit with blood work (CBC, ferritin, TSH, vitamin D, B12). The test may serve as a lifestyle nudge but not as a basis for treatment. Evidence: marketing/unclear.
