Is HLA-DQ2 useful for Müdigkeit?

HLA-DQ2 is a genetic marker strongly associated with celiac disease, which can cause fatigue through malabsorption, inflammation, or associated conditions. However, fatigue is a nonspecific symptom; HLA-DQ2 testing is only useful when there are additional signs of celiac disease (e.g., diarrhea, weight loss, iron deficiency). Without such clues, the predictive value is low. The evidence for the association with celiac disease is human-strong, but for fatigue as a standalone symptom it is human-moderate. Caveat: a negative HLA-DQ2 largely rules out celiac disease, but a positive result does not confirm it. For unexplained fatigue, other causes (iron deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, sleep apnea) are more common.
