How are Longevity DNA Test and gut health related?

The MyBody-X Longevity DNA Test analyzes genetic variants linked to aging processes such as oxidative stress and inflammation. It does not directly measure gut health – that is a separate domain assessed via a microbiome test. However, there is an indirect relationship: the gut microbiome influences systemic inflammation and oxidative stress, which are part of the longevity DNA score. The evidence for the genetic markers is primarily from GWAS, not RCTs. Gut health, on the other hand, is more driven by diet and lifestyle. A combined approach (DNA + microbiome) could theoretically offer a more comprehensive picture, but clinical validation for such combinations is weak. Important: neither test replaces medical advice. Results should be seen as clues, not diagnoses.
