In suspected celiac disease, tTG IgA is measured in blood; a positive result requires duodenal biopsy for confirmation. Allergies (e.g., wheat allergy) are IgE-mediated and diagnosed via specific IgE or skin prick tests. Confusing celiac disease with an allergy is common but medically incorrect. tTG IgA plays no role in classic allergies.
