Can hsCRP help with Fruchtbarkeit?

hsCRP (high-sensitivity C-reactive protein) is a marker of systemic inflammation. Chronic low-grade inflammation can impair fertility, e.g., in endometriosis, PCOS, or obesity. An elevated hsCRP may thus indicate underlying inflammatory processes that could affect reproductive function. However, hsCRP is not a specific fertility test. Evidence is based on observational studies, not RCTs proving that measuring hsCRP improves fertility outcomes. It should be interpreted alongside other clinical and laboratory findings (hormones, cycle, semen analysis). A normal hsCRP does not rule out fertility issues, and an elevated level does not mandate a specific intervention without further workup. MyBody-X includes hsCRP in its blood panel, but its utility for fertility management is limited. Caveat: Do not use hsCRP alone to assess or treat fertility; consult a reproductive specialist.
