Is TSH Schilddrüse useful for Allergie?

Whether TSH (thyroid) is useful for allergies requires nuanced interpretation. TSH is a hormone regulating thyroid function, not a direct allergy marker. However, there is evidence of crosstalk between thyroid hormones and the immune system: hypothyroidism (elevated TSH) may be associated with increased allergic reactivity, possibly via modulation of Th1/Th2 cytokines. Nevertheless, TSH is not an established biomarker for allergy diagnosis or management. In clinical practice, allergies are primarily assessed via specific IgE, skin prick tests, and symptom history. A TSH test might be relevant only if a concurrent thyroid disorder is suspected, not as an allergy test per se.
