AllergieCheck | IgE-Antikörper Test: what symptoms are typical?

The MyBody-X AllergieCheck measures specific IgE antibodies against common allergens (e.g., pollen, dust mites, pet dander, foods). Typical symptoms of IgE-mediated (type I) allergy include: sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy/watery eyes, skin rash (hives, eczema), itching in the mouth/throat, swelling (lips, tongue, eyelids), breathing difficulties (wheezing, coughing), and in rare cases anaphylactic shock (drop in blood pressure, loss of consciousness). Symptoms usually appear within minutes to hours after allergen exposure. Important: The test detects sensitization (presence of IgE), not clinical allergy. A positive result does not guarantee you will have symptoms – asymptomatic sensitization is common. Allergy diagnosis should always be confirmed by a physician through history and, if needed, challenge tests. This test is not a substitute for medical evaluation. Caveat: If you have a history of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), testing should only be done under medical supervision.
