What to watch with Zöliakie Test and Allergie?

A celiac test (typically HLA-DQ2/DQ8 genotyping) is a risk assessment, not a diagnosis. A positive result indicates genetic susceptibility – about 30 % of the population carry risk alleles, but only a minority develop celiac disease. Diagnosis requires duodenal biopsy and/or antibody tests (tTG-IgA). An allergy DNA test is even less evidence-based: it analyzes SNPs associated with immune responses, but clinical relevance is low. True allergies are diagnosed via IgE testing and provocation. Both consumer tests should not be used alone for dietary or therapeutic decisions. Evidence is mostly marketing-driven. Caveat: If you suspect celiac disease or allergy, consult a physician or allergist.
