What to watch with TSH Schilddrüse and Haut?

TSH is a screening marker for thyroid function. Both hypothyroidism (elevated TSH) and hyperthyroidism (low TSH) can cause skin changes: dry, scaly skin, hair loss, or excessive sweating. The evidence for the thyroid-skin link is strong (human-strong). However, a single TSH value from a home test does not replace medical diagnosis. If skin issues and abnormal TSH are present, consult an endocrinologist or dermatologist. Additional thyroid parameters (fT3, fT4) and antibodies are often needed. Consumer tests provide hints, not diagnoses.
